I make the mistake of speaking freely
To people that I take as friends
Forgetting throughout that we are unlike
Their conduct on falseness depends
My honesty shocks and offends where I go
I should keep my mouth schtum but no!
You won't push me back into the abyss
My opinion's as good as your own
Don't ask me my thoughts if you don't want to hear them
It's on you if you misread the tone
